I chose the topic Constructivism Learning Theory and there are two links provided for this topic. The one I really like is the Teach-Nology, http://www.teach-nology.com/currenttrends/constructivism/. I think it is an incredible resource for educators and I would highly recommend not only for the teachers but parents can use it to work with their children.
As I read through the website, there are many interesting contents. The website offers the deeper knowledge regarding to Constructivism Learning Theory which includes theories from the famous theorists including Bruno, Vygotsky and Piaget and Classroom Applications of Constructivism and Constructivism and Technology. The most important thing is it applies directly and easily to my project as I chose to do the action plan on young children. The website provides outsources for a teacher such as lesson plans and games. I found many interesting lesson plans and games for my audiences which are the first grade students. For example, a lesson plan called “A Character Lifebox” http://artsedge.kennedy-center.org/content/2164/ and a game called “Alphabet Action” http://www.learningplanet.com/act/fl/aact/index.asp.
One more thing I really like about Teach-Nology is it allows the teachers to exchange their experiences, share their knowledge and ask for advices among one another by using the Teacher Forum Chat. In this forum, you can go by joining the different grade-level categories or by the content areas of the teaching subjects. The more time I spend with it, the more resources I have added into my delicious account.
